چکیده
Objectives: We aimed to investigate the radiological and clinical results of transverse osteotomy fixation applications in rotation deformities due metacarpal malunion. Methods: A total 18 fingers from patients were enrolled study (14 males 4 females). The average age was 32.8 ± 14.4 years (range: 18-58 years). follow-up duration 19.7 7.9 months 7-36 months). All had a scissoring deformity which affected their daily activities or caused cosmetic problems. Results: In all patients, overlapping improved osteotomies union achieved. range motion for DIP, PIP, MP wrist joints achieved patients. DASH score 5.2 5.6 0-21.7), VAS 0.8 0.9 0-3). grip strength 40.5 10.2 kg 19-55 kg) 94% healthy side. There no statistically significant difference compared side (p = 0.23). 14 excellent good scores obtained based on Büchler criteria. Conclusions: situ locked miniplate method is effective feasible treatment malunions with finger rotational deformities, given ease use, allowance early movement, high rates, results.

Correction of rotational deformity of the tibia in cerebral palsy by percutaneous supramalleolar osteotomy.
A percutaneous supramalleolar osteotomy with multiple drill holes and closed osteoclasis was used to correct rotational deformities of the tibia in patients with cerebral palsy. The technique is described and the results in 247 limbs (160 patients) are reported. The mean age at the time of surgery was 10.7 years (4 to 20). The radiographs were analysed for time to union, loss of correction, and...
متن کاملFemoral supracondylar focal dome osteotomy with plate fixation for acute correction of frontal plane knee deformity
Focal dome osteotomy (FDO) allows deformity correction without secondary translational deformity. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the degree of correction and knee functional outcome after correction of frontal knee deformity using femoral supracondylar FDO fixed with plate and screws. A prospective study included 12 consecutive cases of femoral frontal plane deformity that underwent ...
متن کاملTri-plane Osteotomy Correction of Distal Radius Malunion Addresses Shortening, Angular, and Rotational Deformity
INTRODUCTION: Rotational malalignment following fracture of the distal radius may be under appreciated and contribute to subluxation and dysfunction of the distal radioulnar joint. Rotational malunion is demonstrated by both plain radiographic and CT imaging. METHODS: Eleven patients with shortened, angular and rotational malunion underwent correction by performance of triplane osteotomy. Addit...
متن کاملOsteotomy of the tibia for correction of complex deformity.
Twenty complex tibial deformities due to anterior poliomyelitis in 18 patients were corrected by a modified O'Donoghue osteotomy. This technique allowed correction of the deformity in three planes. This was achieved by widening the rectangular window distally to correct both rotation and valgus and by trimming the anterior edges of the step cuts to correct flexion deformity. An above-knee cast ...
